I think it’s important to seek a new venture. It doesn’t have to be a complete change like barista to vet, sometimes it’s just a little something on the side like knitting or wood working. Sometimes these ventures grow and we start to get excited. What was once something that was foreign to us, now we can add it to our repertoire. Further more, people are even asking us questions about it! The excitement comes as we consider the possibilities of going even further in the pursuit. We start looking up more advanced techniques, what it takes to make a living off of it, and this is where we see doubt enter the scene heavily.

Looking at the more advanced techniques or phases, we start to think that we are not as good as we thought. “How could I ever reach that stage” is a common thought to have — at least that I have noticed. Doubt weighs every and sinks many dreams. More research into what it takes to grow our new venture means being bombarded with success stories, some from younger people, and so the doubt has solidified into giving up entirely.

Do not be discouraged when in this spot! Remember that all of those experts and professionals had to learn the same way as you. Every one has to start at the beginning and everyone has to take the steps needed to be called an expert. Take those posts and such of the professionals as motivation to reach their level one day. I know that none of this is extraordinary or too profound, but I know that sometimes all we really need is a reminded and a push to always make progress.
